- I'm having trouble connecting to my online banking service CheckFree. I'm
- trying to go through a digital modem over my company's digital phone
- system, and it's command set seems to be limited, so I can't get much
- information from it. Anyway, After connecting, the software sends a
- carriage return to start the communications, and the modem immediately
- reports NO CARRIER. Under what condition does the modem report this? In
- other words, what signal (or lack of) does the modem use for carrier
- detection? Or what other condition could cause this?
-
- Thanks for any help.
